• Description: Rare collector's cactus. This monstrose form has blue green stems covered in breast-like tubercles and black spines. A conversation starter for any serious (or not so serious) collection. It is a Japanese cultivar of a Mexican species that grows slowly but can reach up to 13.0' tall at maturity when grown outdoors in Mediterranean climates. This is a bare root plant and measures 2"-4" long. This cactus variety will not survive a hard frost, but if there is a risk of temperatures below 40F, it can be brought indoors to grow on a sunny window sill or under a grow light. Cactus need bright sunlight, great drainage, and infrequent water to prevent rot. Pick containers with drainage holes and use well-draining cactus soil.
